Creating & Managing
a Race Event

This guide walks through every step on the Management page — from setting race duration through inviting drivers, alerting them to get ready, and managing flags during the race session.

⚠  Before You Begin — Track Configuration Required

The Management page relies on sector boundaries, flag station positions, and a Start / Finish line being set for the circuit you are running. Without these, per-sector flags and the automated blue flag system will not work.

Navigate to the ◉ Track page first and confirm the following are in place for your circuit:

Once sectors and flag stations are showing a ● Sectors Loaded / ● Flags Loaded confirmation pill, return to the Management page to begin the event setup below.

Event Setup

Set Race Duration

The first step card in the hero strip is Race Duration. This is always enabled and must be completed before any other step unlocks.

    Find the Race Duration card (Step 1) in the strip at the top of the page.
  • b
    Use the and + buttons to set the number of laps for the race. The current lap count is displayed between the two buttons.

    Once a lap count greater than zero is set, Steps 2 and 3 unlock automatically.

Set Yellow Flag Speed

The Yellow Spd card (Step 2) defines the maximum permitted speed displayed to drivers when a full-course yellow flag is active.

    Click the Yellow Spd dropdown and choose a speed limit in mph. This value is broadcast to all driver mobile screens when yellow is displayed.

    Choose a speed that reflects your track's caution pace — typically 25–40 mph for a sprint kart circuit.

Configure Automated Blue Flag

The Auto Blue Flag card (Step 3) lets the system automatically issue blue flags to slower-class cars when a faster-class car is closing in the same flag zone. Step 4 does not unlock until this is set.

    Click the Auto Blue Flag dropdown. Choose Off to disable automation, or choose a closing-speed differential (5 mph – 30 mph in 5 mph steps).

    When a value is selected, the system continuously monitors car positions. If a higher-priority class car is closing on a lower-priority class car within the same flag station zone by the chosen differential, a blue flag is automatically sent to that driver's mobile screen.
  • c
    Class 1 has the highest priority. The blue flag clears automatically once the faster car passes or exits the zone.
Hover over the Auto Blue Flag card to see a tooltip explaining how class priority works. Setting this to Off still unlocks Step 4 — you simply manage blue flags manually using the flag station controls during the race.

Invite Drivers

The Invite Drivers card (Step 4) unlocks once Auto Blue Flag is configured. This is where you build the driver list for the event and send out invitations.

    Use the driver dropdown inside the Invite Drivers card to search for and select a driver by name.

    Click Invite to send them a notification. The driver appears in the pending list beneath the card.
  • c
    Repeat for each driver in the session. Each invited driver will see a notification on their mobile screen and must confirm attendance.

    As drivers confirm, their card updates from pending to ● Confirmed. You can see exactly who has and has not confirmed.

    Once at least one driver is confirmed, Step 5 becomes available.

Alert Drivers to Get Ready

The final setup step is the Alert Drivers card (Step 5). This sends a pre-race alert to all confirmed drivers, signalling that the session is about to begin.

    Click ◈ Alert Drivers to Get Ready when all drivers are confirmed and the grid is forming.
  • b
    All confirmed drivers receive an immediate on-screen alert telling them the race is about to start.
  • c
    The button state updates to show the alert has been sent. You can re-send if needed.
At this point your event is fully configured. The track canvas becomes the primary race management view — all car positions appear in real time and the full-course flag panel is now active on the left side of the canvas.

Monitor Cars on the Track Canvas

The centre of the Management page is the track canvas. Once the race is underway, every car with an active mobile connection appears as a dot on the circuit in real time.

    Each car is represented by a colour-coded dot. The car number and class are shown beside the dot when you hover over it.

    Car positions update every second. The sector boundaries and flag station markers are overlaid on the canvas for reference.

    The S/F line is visible on the canvas. Each time a car crosses it, the lap count for that driver increments.

Issue Full Course Flags

The Full Course Flagging panel sits on the left side of the canvas. Clicking any flag button instantly broadcasts that flag to every driver's mobile screen simultaneously.

Green — Racing
Yellow — Caution
Dbl Yellow — Slow
Red — Stop
White — Last lap
Finish — Chequered
Black — Penalty
Blue — Move over

    Click any flag button to make it active — the button glows with a coloured border and the flag is pushed to all drivers instantly.
  • b
    Only one full-course flag is active at a time. Clicking a new flag replaces the previous one.
  • c
    On the driver's mobile screen the flag fills the signal strip at the top of the display. For yellow flags the configured speed limit is also shown.
  • d
    To end the race, click Finish (chequered). Follow up with Green if the session is restarting or leave on chequered to close the session.
The Black flag is used to summon a specific driver to the pits for a penalty. Because it is a full-course call, coordinate with corner workers before displaying it so all stations show the same instruction.

Issue Per-Sector Flags

In addition to full-course flags, individual flag station zones can be flagged independently. Small flag station cards appear overlaid directly on the canvas at each flag station position.

    Each flag station on the canvas shows a compact card with a row of flag colour swatches.
  • b
    Click a colour swatch on a station card to flag that zone only. Drivers in that zone see the local flag on their mobile while drivers in other zones continue on the current full-course flag.
  • c
    Local flags are useful for incidents in a specific corner — you can wave yellow at Turn 4 while the rest of the circuit stays green.
  • d
    A full-course flag always overrides per-sector flags on the driver's screen. Clear the full-course flag first before local flags take effect again.

Automated Blue Flags During the Race

If you configured a closing-speed threshold in Step 3, the system handles blue flags automatically throughout the race without any additional input from you.

  • a
    Every second the system checks each flag zone. If a higher-class car is within the zone and closing on a lower-class car at or above the configured differential, a blue flag is sent to the slower car.
  • b
    The blue flag clears automatically once the faster car has passed or both cars leave the zone.
  • c
    Multiple slower cars in the same zone are each flagged independently — clearing one does not clear the others.
  • d
    You can still issue a manual blue flag from the full-course panel at any time if you spot a situation the system has not caught.
Event Complete

When the last car takes the chequered flag, click Finish in the full-course panel to signal the end of the session. Session data — including all lap times, GPS traces, and flag events — is stored automatically and available immediately in the session review.
